ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip Review

 Look everybody, I'm outside!
It was such a lovely day when I was taking the pictures for this post that I decided to take them in the out of doors.
I don't think I am a negative person be nature, but if someone asked me to describe this lipstick in one word it would be disappointing. I was so hopeful for this product, I have heard a large number a great reviews and have had it recommended by lots of people. Maybe my hopes were to high, or maybe I just don't know liquid lipstick.

I love the color, it is perfect for this time of year, and it goes on really, but the problems start to raise their less than adorable heads.
Problem 1: As soon as it begins to dry my lips started to feel stiff, dry, and all round uncomfortable.
Problem 2: It sinks into every single little crack on the lips and makes them look wrinkly.
Problem 3: Almost as soon as these lipstick dries it starts to flack, to the point that when I let out a breath, or speak little bits of lipstick scatter into the wind.
Problem 4: It has amazing staying power! This may or may not be a problem for you, but it sure was for me. Once I realized that it was flaking, I decided to remove it, and unless you have a makeup remover on hand this is pretty much impossible, I scrubbed and scrubbed only to have sore red lips and all the makeup from my nose to my chin gone. Not the best look when you are out and about.

Just a little baby rant, nothing to worry about. Its not very often that I feel this strongly about a product. As I said a lot of people do really love this product, so this is just my opinion.

What are you thoughts on this lipstick?
What is your favorite liquid lipstick? I'm on the hunt and in need of some recommendations.
Anna.

3D Moodstruck Lash Fiber Mascara

As I have mentioned in previous posts I have quite a hard time finding a mascara I can fall in love with, yet I still enjoy trying out new ones.
I have been hearing quite a bit about this mascara on places like Veleza and Instagram, but had never really felt brave enough to try it for my self. I have little to no experience with lash fibers, I think I have used them a grand total of twice.
When I got in touch with the lovely Ashley from Younique and she offered to send me the 3D Moodstruck Mascara I was thrilled.

I have to admit it took some time for me to get used to this product. I had to get the hang of the wands and the fibers, but once a got that down I really liked it.
I found the fibers to be the trickiest part, if you don't seal them enough with the gel they will fall onto your cheeks(nobody wants that). The gel wand is also a bit different  than I'm used to, but I don't think its fair to blame the wand for any mess I might make with it, as I'm notorious for getting it all over my lids and cheeks.
This is one eye with the 3D Moodstruck and one without. (See if you can guess which is which)
There  can be no argument that this adds length and volume, and it doesn't seem to weigh down my lashes at all.
Although this product and I have had our fair share of disagreements I believe we are well on our way to a beautiful friendship.
If you  want to give it a try for yourself you can find it here, and you should also check out Ashley's blog Blonde Fashion Happy. Thanks again Ashley!

Have you ever used lash fibers?
Have you tried any of Younique's products?
I hope you all have a wonderful day!
Anna.

L'Oreal Infallible 24hr Eyeshadows For Autumn

As a rule I'm not a huge fan of single shadows, mainly because they tend to wonder off, but they do have their good qualities as well. You have more of an ability to pick each individual shade, unlike palettes where for me there are always one or two shade that I just can't use.
The Infallible 24hr eyeshadows from L'Oreal Paris have recently become favorites of mine, these three in particular are absolutely stunning.
I have had Eternal Sunshine for a year or two now, the other two shadows are new with in the last couple of months.
The first time I ever use a bronze or rust colored eyeshadow was last month when I tried the one that came in my Naked 3 palette named Trick. I decided that this would be a go to for Fall.
Eternal Sunshine: This one is such a lovely gold shade, I know in the picture below it looks quite yellow but it is a real gold color.
Iced Latte: This shade is a beautiful pearly color, a little bit pink, and a little bit gold its really hard to put a specific name to the shade of this one.
Amber Rush: This is the newest of the three and probably my favorite. I love to layer this with Iced Latte,  starting with Amber Rush and putting Iced Latte on the inner half of the eyelid. It gives the eyes a lovely bright coppery color.

These all are majorly pigmented, especially Amber Rush the swatch above was done in one sweep. Impressive right? I was impressed. There are just two things I would warn you about when using these shadows, the first being the fallout a lot of fallout, I would highly recommend doing your eyes before your foundation. The second being, if I buildup for more color payoff it will start looking a bit cracked.

What are you favorite Autumn eyeshadows?

Lets Chat About: Yes To Cucumber daily calming Moisturizer.

 Hey Everybody!
I feel like I haven't done one of these posts in ages! My brain and I have been having a hard time getting together long enough to actually write anything.
Anyway, I first read about Yes To on The Small Things Blog, and I knew I had to give it a try.

While there is nothing remarkable or glamorous about the container, I have to say I find it quite pleasing. It's very simple and clean, without any pretensions or drama, it's just a happy little moisture trying to make you're skin feel nice.
As for the moisturizer it's self, It's very light and absorbs in to the skin really quickly, leaving the skin feeling soft and moisturized.
My skin has been acting up quite a bit lately and I have been using some products that are less than gentle, and this moisturizer has so far kept my skin from drying out or peeling.
I will warn you, if you don't like cucumbers, or the smell of cucumbers you will not like this product. Thankfully I like cucumber, so this doesn't bother me, I just don't want you to go out and buy it only to find it smells weird.

Over all I am really happy with this moisturizer, I also just ordered some things from Ulta and there was a couple of Yes To product, so I am really looking forward to trying those out.

Have you ever tried Yes To before?
Do you like cucumbers?
I hope you have a wonderful day,
Anna.

Top Five Neutral Nail Polishes

So, if you have ever visited my blog before you probably know that I love nail polish, I mean, I have quite I large and growing collection. When it comes to painting my nail I usually tend more towards brighter colors, but recently I have really been loving more neutral colors.
each of these it special in there known little way and they fit my different moods perfectly. Of course three of these are Essie, because probably 75-80 percent of my collection is Essie. So it's pretty much impossible to a nail polish post with out at least one.

Penthouse Pink

This is probably my favorite of the five, at least for right now. I like to use this one on my toes especially, it's such a clean pale pink that it make the nails look very healthy. The only problem I have with this polish is that you have to put the coats on quite thick and let it dry really well before the next one. So I have to sit still for more than five minutes, which I'm not terribly good at.

Need A Vacation

This is a bit pinker than Penthouse Pink, but goes on a bit easier. It's a lovely smooth pink, it's the same shade as Pepto, but I couldn't highly recommend this for a sick stomach, although it will cheer you up a bit which is always a good thing.

 Bikini With a Martini

This is such a lovely, slightly shimmery polish!
It has a really pretty glowy look when it catches the light. It does however have a tendency to peel, which makes me quite sad:(  So it usually ends up being a one day polish, or two day if I don't have to work or do dishes.

 Penny Talk

I have sort of a love hate relationship with this one, I love the color and the metallic finish, but it doesn't last long. The way it look make up the way it lasts, I just put this on my nails as I am writing this, and I still can't get over how pretty this color is. I keep getting distracted by them, THERE SO PRETTY!

Sangria Splash

This one is a bit darker, for those days I just don't want pinky nails but still want a neutral color. This one like Penthouse Pink, is a bit tricky to get the coats smooth and even.

I am also super excited to try out Essie's new Gel Couture collection, and will be picking one (or two) very soon.

What nail polishes have you been loving lately?
Do you prefer bright of neutral colors?
Let me know in the comments, and don't forget to give me a follow if you would like to read more of my random ramblings.
Have a wonderful Day.
And Happy 4th!!

MY June Ipsy Glam Bag

I Everybody!
My June Ipsy glam bag came yesterday!  This is my second glam bag, and I was no less exited than I was for the first. If you have never heard of Ipsy before you can check out their website here
The theme this month is Rebel Rebel, which I am not crazy about, and I'm not crazy about the bag it's self either. I am excited about the products themselves, and am really looking forward to trying them out more in depth.

 Jouer Highlighter in Tiare

I used this to highlight my eyes this morning, so in the center of my eyelids and in the corners. I really like the formula so far, it a cream highlighter and a tiny bit shimmery.

The Balm Meet Matt(e)Trimony Eyeshadow in Matt Moskowitz

I used this in my crease this morning along with my Jesse's Girl palette, and it is a very nice matte shadow, smooth and blendable. I am a very neutral person when it comes to eyeshadow colors, so I was not at all sure how I would like this.

Elizabeth Mott Blush in Show Me Your Cheeks

This is such a lovely color! It is quite light, so you can use as little or as much as you need. I have quite a tricky time with blush, being rather fair sometimes I put on blush and just can't tall it's there, so I add a bit more and a bit more till BAM! So I think this one will work out quite well.

Delectable Everything Balm

I am always a little skeptical when a product claims to do "everything". This says is will seal split ends, soften heels, tame brows, condition cuticles, brighten dark circles, pop cheekbones and nourish lips. So far I have only used it on my lips, and I have to say I'm not that crazy about it.

Royal & Langnickel Crease/Smudge Brush

I used this for applying Matt Moskowitz to me crease, and for smudging it out a bit. I a really impressed with this brush so far, it's great for detailed work.

So, over all I am very happy with my little treasures this month.
If you want to check out my May glam bag you can find it here.

Would you ever try any of these products?

Or have you tried any of them before?

By the way, and this is VERY IMPORTANT! I am looking for a new foundation, what one would you recommend?

Top 5 Summer Lip Colors

 Happy Friday!
Now that June is here, and it's starting to feel like summer I thought it would be the perfect time to share my favorite summer lip colors.
I love brightening up my everyday makeup with a splash of pink or coral. So here are five of me favorite lip colors for summer.

I think I have probably talked about all of these products in different post here and there, so I'm not going to do very extensive reviews of any of them today.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Pango Peach

Pretty light peach color, perfect for when you just want a little color and shine. It has a touch of shimmer as well, which I really like.

Stila Lip Glaze in Raspberry Sorbet

I love the way this smells, and it's surprisingly long lasting for a lip glaze.

Neutrogena Revitalizing Lip Balm in Healthy Blush

This is a very light shade of pink, great for a touch of color. I bought this mainly because of the SPF, so I will toss this in my bag if I know I will be spending a lot a time out side

Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in Kiss

I have been using this one quite a bit lately, it's probably the perfect pink for this time of year. It has good lasting power, and a lovely little shimmer.

Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in Latino

I know that on the swatches below the kiss and Latino look quite a lot alike, but they are really very different.
I like Rimmel's moisture renew collection because they are quite comfortable and creamy.

What are some of you're favorite summer lip products?
Have you ever tried any of these?
Please let me know in the comments and don't forget to follow me on Google, or Bloglovin.
I hope you all have a wonderful day.
Anna.

Let's Chat About: Lumene Bright Now Vitamin C BB Cream

 Hello Everybody!
Today I want to share with you this new BB cream I've been using. I bought this about a week ago, and I am loving it. I know I have mentioned Lumene's skin care products before from time to time, but this is the first of their makeup I have tried out.

The container is simple but quite sturdy, it definitely feels like it will out last the cream.

The cream it's self is what I really want to talk to you about. Never really reading any reviews or hearing anything, good or bad, about this BB cream meant that I no preconceived notions about it. Which was was great, and hardly ever happens. Anyways, this cream has really great coverage, bordering on amazing. I have been using a L'Oreal BB cream for some time now, and there is no comparison. I have been using this instead of my regular foundation for about a week now.

I have the BB cream in the shade 01 Light.

Before you go, I just want to say a few words completely unrelated to this post.
You my have noticed that I have been posting on days that aren't Monday or Friday, and yes I know I said twice a week, but sometimes there are things I want to say that I don't want to save for Mondays and Fridays. So I am going to make that more of a guide line than a actual rule, that means I will be hear on the usual days and sometimes more.
Let's Chat About, is hopefully going to be a series for the time I have been trying out a new product, but I don't want to do a serious review.
Thanks for reading through to the end.
I hope you have an amazing day.
Anna.

May Empties

Happy Monday!
I won't deny it, I have quite a lot of beauty products, and I have my eye on some things I have been wanting to order from Ulta and Sephora. So I decided to set myself the goal of finishing off all my half gone products, and so far I think I have been fairly successful. So I thought I would tell you what I have gotten through so far.

Lumene Bright Touch Refreshing Cleansing Foam

I love the feel of foam cleansers, and this one is definitely on the buy again list, I did a full review of this cleanser here.

Lumene Radiant Touch Refreshing Foam Cleanser

This is a different kind of foam cleanser to the one I just mentioned, this one has a vary thick texture until you foam it up you're self. I talk about it a bit more in my April Favorites.

Lumene Bright Now Vitamin C Day Cream

I  like this for around my eyes, that's really all I ever used it for. It gave my skin a nice glow,  I will be buying this one again at some point.

 Rusk Thermal Shine Spray

I have been out of this for a couple of weeks now, and I can definitely see a difference in my hair. I talked about this a bit more here.

KMS Free Shape 2-in-1 Styling +Finishing Spray

This is by far the best hair spray I have ever used. It holds curls really well, but doesn't feel stiff or crunchy.

L'oreal Magic Skin Beautifier B.B Cream in Fair

I would rate this B.B cream as adequate, I think it has served it's purpose, but it's just not for me. It hardly has any coverage, so I used it only as a primmer.

Physicians Formula Consealer Twins in Green and Light

I love this duo, I think it fill all the requirements. I wouldn't use this under eyes, just because I prefer something a little more brightening.

Rimmel Stay Matte Long Lasting Pressed Powder in Buff Beige

This has been my go to powder for ages, that being said I think I need to try some new ones. I was just starting to see pan when I dropped this on my floor, Wow that made a mess. The only the I would say against this powder is the container, the lid is quite lose.

E.L.F Moisturizing Lipstick in Pink Minx

Sadly this lipstick did not die of natural causes, I left it in the sun and when I tried to use it the whole thing broke off. Before it broke, this was well on it's way to being my new favorite lipstick. I love the formula, the color and the stay, so I will be buying this again at some point.

I know I didn't really do a serious review of any of these product, because I have reviewed most of them before.
I don't think this will turn into a monthly thing, but who know. Probably only on the month I have a large amount, or have finished off something interesting.
Have you tried any of these products?
Am I the only one who love the feeling of finishing a product?
Please let me know in the comments.
I hope you all have a wonderful day.
Anna.

My Go To Winter Nail Colors

In wintertime I tend to wear mostly red toned nail polishes, I have found that I tend towards the same five colors.
These are my five Go To Winter Nail Colors.
Starting at the thumb going clock-wise.
(For the record I'm not completely positive the names of the two Essie colors, so I matched them as closely as I could)

SALLY HANSEN: Red My Lips
ESSIE: Up's
ESSIE: Leading Lady
L'OREAL: Sangria Splash
REVLON: Sparkling

Let me know what you're favorite winter nail color is, or if you've tried any of these.
I hope you have a great weekend.

I Won't Be Buying That Again

Hello Everybody,

I have been wanting to do this post for some time now but haven't been quite sure how to go about it. I'm not really the kind of person who likes to talk things down, so I'm not completely sure if negative reviews will quite be my thing. But I'm going to give it a try.
For the record, I don't hate any of these things, in fact there is something about each of then that I like. Any who, I'm going to list these thing and why "I wont be buying that again".

Butter London Backstage Basics Lotion:

Okay the biggest reason I don't like this lotion is the smell, it's SOOOOO strong, and I love perfume but the scent is so in you face, I found it made me want to run away and hide. If it was a flowery scent it would probably be different, but alas it smells like a bunch of chemicals. The upside of this lotion is that it will leave you're skin feeling soft, if you can stand the smell for that long.

Simple Soothing Facial Toner:

I have used a number of Simple products is the past and loved them, I was expecting  no less from this toner. I used it faithfully for a little more than a month, and saw no difference in my skin. I don't know about you but like to add steps to my morning routine unless its making a noticeable difference to my skin. I do love that it has no harsh chemical or artificial perfumes, but it has a slight oniony smell to is. The upside to this product is it didn't harm my skin.

Rimmel Scandaleyes Mascara By Kate Moss:

The main reason I don't like this mascara is the Broken Heart Brush, it's huge. I only used this mascara once, and found it imposable to apply. It applies thickly and goes all over the place. I can imagine if you have steady hands and really long eye lashes this mascara may work for you, but for me mascara is the hardest part of my makeup routine anyway. So I don't want the complication of a fussy mascara.
(By the way, its really hard to get a good picture of)

Ellen Tracy Lip Gloss:

So I have to say, the main reason I have a problem with this lip gloss is that it came in a set of ten, seemingly different colors, but when applied there was hardly a difference, even in the red. Lip gloss tends to smear on me a lot anyway, so it's hard for me to judge it in that area. It does have a lovely shimmer.

Rimmel Moisture Renew In Red Alert 505:

When I bought this lip stick I was looking for a vintage red to wear to a costume party, let just say I didn't find what I was looking for. I know this it the second Rimmel product I have listed here, so before you get the wrong idea, I do love Rimmel, in fact most of my favorite makeup is by Rimmel.
So now we've got that out of the way, I only have two problems with this lip stick. One, it does not stay were it's supposed to. Two, it's a bit to bold red, I was looking for a more subdued red.
Thankfully I wore it before the party, and had time to find something else.

Pure Ice Nail Polish:

First off I'm not sure the name of this color, its a lot like the Essie color Penny Talk.
It's not that I don't like this very nail polish, it's that Ice and I have never really gotten along very well. this one in particular chips and peels very fast, I mean, I was wearing this to a job interview one time, I did my nails at eleven and by two it was almost gone:( Which makes me sad because I love the color.

I hope some of you find this helpful.
Let me know if you've tried any of the products, and what you think of them. Or what things you won't be buying again, I love you're feedback.
Have a great day.
Anna.
