Moving On: A Sparkle Of Grace

Hello All!

I haven't posted on here in almost two years, and I wasn't planning on posting on here ever again, but I recently discovered that quite a few people or still visiting and reading the content that I have on here. So I thought it was high time that I let you all know where you can find me now.

On December 29, 2016, I launched A Sparkle Of Grace, a whole new blog on a whole new platform, that is why I stopped posting content on The New Old Fashioned Girl.

A Sparkle Of Grace is very much like The New Old Fashioned Girl but I have learned a lot over the past four years of blogging that it is more of what I would want it to be.

The Fall Favorites Tag

I know I have said it before and I'm sure I will say it again, I LOVE FALL! Pretty much everything about it makes me happy, the crisp air, the smell of the leafs, and the fashion that goes along with it.
So I was thrilled when the lovely Katie of  Beauty From Katie tagged me for The Fall Favorites Tag.
Favorite eye-makeup?
I have been loving coppery and gold shades, like L'Oréal's Infallible shadows in Amber Rush, and in Iced Latte. I haven't actually been using pallets much at all this fall, but I have my eye on a few.
Favorite candles?
I love scented candles, the food scented one most of all, but I actually don't have any right now(what's up with that?), I guess I'm going to have to pick some up right away. Yankee Candle has a Apple Cinnamon one that I adore, and of course anything pumpkin.
Favorite Scents?
I have been mostly using my trusty Wildbloom Rouge from Banana Republic, and I also recently got a mini of Burberry Body with I'm loving. I tend to lean more towards deeper, warmer perfumes in the fall and winter.
Favorite Nail Polish?
It's really a toss up between Sally Hansen's Red My Lips and Essie's Penny Talk. They are both totally different but totally gorgeous.
Favorite lip color?
I'm not big into the super dark lipsticks, I don't wear a lot of reds and berry colors except of A Different Grape by Clinque. I have however been wearing a lot more nude lip shades, NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Stockholm, and Rimmel Kate in 14 have been my go to lip colors this fall.
Favorite Halloween costume?
My family has never celebrated Halloween, so I have never needed a costume. I have had a couple of birthday costume parties in the past. for my eight birthday I dressed as a medieval princess, and last year my brother-in-law had a 1940s themed birthday party  and I went all out with the Hollywood 1940s hair and makeup.
Favorite accessories?
Oh please don't make me narrow it down!
Lets see, jewelry, sunglasses, shoes( my red plaid pumps to be exact). For me my cloths are more of the accessories, if it doesn't go with my shoes I'm not gonna wear it.
Favorite moments?
There are so many wonderful moments in the Autumn, so its really hard to say which are my favorites. One of the best is on my birthday when my parents, my brother and I,  just go out and do something, whether it be going for a walk by the ocean, or going to the mall and getting coffee at Starbucks.
Favorite drink?
PUMPKIN SPICE LATTE! Is anybody surprised? Probably not. I don't think I have gotten anything else at Starbucks in the last two months.
Favorite TV show?
Things aren't very exciting on the TV show front for me right now, my mom and I have been re-watching  Downton Abby, and I'm still waiting for the next season of Sherlock.

Well those are a few of my favorite things about fall.

The Beauty Tag

Happy Monday!
Today I will be doing The Beauty Tag! I haven't done many tags so this should be an adventure. Thanks to the lovely Katie from  Beauty From Katie for the tag! TO THE QUESTIONS! 

If you could have anyone in the world do your make-up who would it be?

To be completely honest I don't really know of any real "make-up artists" so I'm going to go with Fleur De Force.  Fleur was one of the first beauty blogger/vloggers I ever came across, and to this day she is my favorite. I love her style, and I have gotten so many great tips from her. And she seems like the kind of person it would be fun to spend an afternoon with.

What's your top make-up tip?

Don't go overboard! we still want to know it's you! I think my best tip for this would be pick one. For example, if you are planing on bright lipstick go for a simple eye look, or if you are going to wear a sparkly eyeshadow maybe not the turquoise one.

What's the one skincare item you couldn't live without?

Can I pick two? I really can not decide between my Aveeno clear complexion daily moisturizer, and my EOS coconut milk lip balm. There are others I love but I think I would be lost without my lip balm.

What are you the worst at when it comes to applying make-up?

EYELINER! In fact I am so terrible at it I have stopped using it completely. And no I didn't give up, I quit. Which is completely different.

What's your biggest pet peeve when it comes to beauty?

Do I have any beauty pet peeves? Honestly I can't think of any right now. There are certain that I think give make-up a bad name. like the women at the mall wearing the whole bottle of perfume. Or the girl at Walmart doing the Egyptian look.

What's you favorite makeup era?

Without a doubt the 1940s, and maybe into the early 50s but not as much. Last year I did quite a bit of research into the 1940s make-up and fashion, and I learned how to do a couple of authentic looks, which was a blast. 

What's your guilty pleasure product?

Firstly I don't feel guilty about any of my product, but I think I know what you mean. I guess I would say my nail polish, especially Essie.

What's your "underdog" product?

I think that would probably be my Take A Brow complete brow kit by Flower. I don't know if this qualifies as an underdog product, but I haven't heard it talked about much. And its the best brow kit I've ever had.

What's your favorite make-up product of 2015?

Definitely Lash Sensational by Maybelline. For two reasons, one its my favorite mascara, and two its the only thing I have I know for sure came out in 2015.
